1 Power to make control orders The Secretary of State may make an order (called a “control order”) against an individual if he— (a) has reasonable grounds for suspecting that the individual is or has been involved in terrorism-related activity; and (b) considers that it is necessary, for purposes connected with protecting members of the public from the risk of terrorism, to make an order imposing obligations on the individual.

The Driver ran off but due to the massive amount of Info they will catch him unless he has a Plan B or is sent on the next plan from who ever is behind it.
It tells Brown that he is a just like Blair |

Yes he reported it, as I am sure many in his team would as well.
But due to the Man or Women that ran away from it, it may never have gone off. |

A 2nd car parked round the corner of the 1st car was also full of Petrol/gas etc.
http://news.sky.com/skynews/article/0,,70131-1272910,00.html
The car was taken to a Car pound thats why it took so long to get it confirmed and taken away.
The Officer that pulled the wires from the Mobile Phone/trigger of the first one may have stopped them both?
And bleedin' Fox USA News is going on about this in turbo drive mode.

From above link: "It is believed the quick-thinking cop recognised that the car was wired to blow up, jumped in and disconnected the trigger device, thought to be a mobile phone...."
If true not exactly procedure I would guess!!!!...but very good outcome.

Yes it was a Fast thinking Officer. However, we still do not know the full facts. P. Clarke the MI6 man is very brief. |

I doubt anyone has all the facts at the moment and the press will grab any info they can. True or false.
There may also be misinformation from the police to try and flush people out.
Time will tell. |

This looks like another crude terrorist attempt, from reports coming in they tried to ignite it with a Molotov cocktail.

They have the Driver of that Jeep he was wrestled to the ground. This crew seem to be not able to Die for their mission.
Give him life in Prison after you have all his mates names.
Meanwhile Scottish (Un-Elected) UK PM Brown is having another special meeting.

This island is not secure. Who is friend or foe is not clear. It is not so much who lives in this country as to more down to so called religious fanatics. Tough action is required. This of course will enrage the those with something to hide and the liberals who think it is a human right to move freely around and massacre innocents. |

Some UK Airports have been Closed. Blackpool is one.
The Good thing about the Scottish Airport is they have the Driver. This group is nothing like the Khan 7/7 terror group.
America is going into Turbo drive over this though.

Religious fanatics and extremists of all kinds ... there isn't much to choose between them with the only difference being the justification they cling to.

What a cop-out. Lots of people have something to hide and not everything hidden is necessarily a threat to national security. quote: Originally posted by Daveb
... and the liberals who think it is a human right to move freely around and massacre innocents.
And another cop-out. To infer that to object to a curtailment of fundamental civil rights and personal freedom is necessarily to approve of the massacre of innocents is either sloppy writing or as perfect a piece of far right ideological spin as I have had the privilege to see in a long time (and possible, that is not to say probably as extremist as those who justify their blood letting activities in the name of whatever ideology happens to have gripped them.

Just suggesting we make our streets safe, if that is right wing then tough! I do not approve of a police state. However, if being able to stop and search on is required to help prevent massacre then so be it. It is our human right to live.
I would also include the IRA in this. Strange how they have gone quiet since 9/11 and America woke up.
