So another MP turns his back on the electorate and changes party midstream.

If they want to change fair enough but they should resign and let a by-election take place.

It shows a total disregard for the voters.

This is why I stand by the statement in another thread that they are only out to serve their own interests.

It happens too often.
The Langston woman and her partner I believe fall into the same category.

If he was my MP I'd be demanding he quit and hold a new election under his new colours. How dare he flaunt the voters who put him there just so he can change parties as he chooses......

When a MP jumps party they should hold a by-election, this just stinks of somebody's lust for power at any cost.....

So maybe this quote was meant to be in his acceptance letter rather then his resignation one.

Labour especially

"It has no bedrock. It exists on shifting sands. A sense of mission has been replaced by a PR agenda."

He could have been talking about any party really
