Getting the Water Supply Flooded has made people panic buying water.
Of course these Floods in some parts could not be stopped.
Today New Labour do the House plans, they will set out the big area's for massive housing projects. It will include building on flood plains

Posted - 24/07/2007 : 20:15:50 Of course these areas have never flooded before? Not all if them anyway. Strange how in some of photos shown the church is on the highest ground!
I am not saying the climate isn't changing but this and worse has all happened before and will happen again.
This is a once in lifetime occurance in some areas. It will never have a contingency plan. If there was one it would have been shelved years ago to save money.
Long before New Labour. May have even been Old Labour or Tories or Whigs come to that. |

It is 10 years of New Labour a wasted 10 years as well.
Are you saying that before Labour took over that the sewers were fine?
Everbody knows full well New Labour has had 10 years wasted.
New homes built under New Labour Sewers left as water companys made millions under Neo Con Blair.
Of course you can go back before 10 years but that is too far back now.
New Labour Neo Conservative were told some years back about the sewers but still the Water companys made billions. |

What a load of emotive bull. Climate change is part and parcel of the cyclic weather pattern ...
It's nearly impossible to attribute one single event to a general trend such as climate change. It's a bit like saying crime is on the increase and then pointing to a recent murder as an example of the trend. It is only when you look at many such events of a sustained period of time that the pattern emerges. There is some complex science and statistics behind climate change, which don't lend themselves to this kind of front page scare story.
In my opinion attributing such events to climate change is an over-reaction. However many people now attribute any such weather to climate change and people often talk about how the weather has changed since they were young. I guess it is easier for people to grasp onto tangible events like the floods to explain climate change because the statistic and science is often so confusing.
