The American-UK joint look into the Price hike
got BA a fine.
And the UK fine (£270million) in connection with a
Corrupt deal with Virgin,
Virgin Airways took it to the Police
so they are let off.
These fines are not big enough to hurt BA.
They may have some angry customers
but cheap deals wash it all away.

American protectionism yet again (also see: Banning internet gambling).
Many airlines in the US have gone bankrupt owing 100's of millions, they then carry on, propped up with govt cash and carry on as if nothing happened. As well as that they protect their internal routes from competition.
In other words, the US has a fucking cheek to do this. |
