I heard this on Radio 2 this evening - they were talking to someone about traffic cones...seems they now have traffic cones made from vegetable matter rather than oil-based plastics, and these cones will eventually be dumped in the countryside where rabbits and `other wildlife` can probably eat them.
Also, the chap said they have `radio-controlled` traffic cones, so they can move them without having to send a man into busy traffic lanes.

Sorry, I was busy at the time snapping runner beans into a pan of tomato, olive oil & garlic, so my attention was divided. But, imagine - edible traffic cones, once the `rabbits etc.` discover them, before they are done with and ready to be discarded. And imagine too when the `rabbits etc.` notice a radio-controlled traffic cone on the move. This is mind-boggling. I didn`t make it up, honestly!
(And LTNS has the nerve to call ME an Eco-Nut!)

Yes, I think so. My late hubby bought it from his younger brother, who had bought it New. I`ve got all the bumph somewhere, but I`d thought of asking my bro-in-law about this one - I need to get him to come and sort through Hubby`s fishing tackle too, to take what he wants and suggest what to do with the rest of it. I`d rather it was used than festering here.

Has your car radio got a key-code Fluffy? It may be worth trying to reset it with that.

In the house I like either Radio 2 or 4, but only opt for 2 simply because I DON`T get too drawn in to what I`m listening to, as I`m usually doing other stuff at the same time. Radio 4 or 5 can get TOO interesting.
In the car I`m tuned to BBC Radio Wales, but that`s mainly because I find Marcher Sound, our local commercial station, so thoroughly irritating. Radio Wales is far from ideal, can get very parochial and has a very heavy slant towards South Walian issues and Rugby, but that`s quite funny at times and it does give news of any major problems on the roads up here too.
At the moment, however, I`ve done something, I know not what, so that when I try to put the car radio on I`m getting the message Radio `SAFE` but not a sound can I get out of it.

Oh, it is perfectly possible to get 'live traffic reports' in your car even when you don't listen to Radio 5. Heck, when I switch on the TR it will even cut in on any CD I may happen to be listening to to update me.

I`m glad you don`t do this bit of multi-tasking. Your post could be taken to imply that had you not been driving then you might have....?

Well done Radio Five then. Did you phone in and call them Eco-Nuts?
