This is just plain slave labour and should not be happening in this country, or do the Government only see these people just as a source of cheap labour for our Hospitals, factories, supermarkets and produce growers to use, abuse and disposed off when finished?

Stop dragging your heals Gordon.....

Amazing. There`s one fat PCSO that you don`t rate too highly. And Sweet FA that anyone can do about it except have ourselves a bit of a rant on a forum....and about all the others we don`t rate highly.
Yet, we don`t all have much to say about firemen. Even now, let alone next time they have another pay dispute!

I agree Miriam.

But this one person is no good.

She was no good at her job. There are plenty of fat people that are good at their job just as there are plenty of thin people that are crap at theirs.

And that Uniform Angers so many people,
it is a outright Fraud.
They have what they are on in small
print - but that Uniform is the same as Real Police.

I reckon they`d do just the same with a real policeman, the uniform helps yobs to spot them, you see. They don`t have to be fat. (If they are fat, so WHAT? I`m fat, over fifty, but fit enough to be on the go on a busy ward for 13 hour shifts and still run rings around some half my age and a little over half my weight!)

Sure
But Stinking New Labour have failed on this.
Even here in Brighton the Fat Community woman
I watched in a burger bar,
told me who ever thinks this is the answer for our St.James Street
is very wrong.

They
(the Junkies/drunks) spot her because she is so FAT
and wait till she moves onto another street
then go right back to hassle folks.
FACT.

Of course real police are essential, and there`s no substitute for the real police, but I do believe there`s still a place for PCSO`s, (and Specials as well), but it`s just about selecting the right ones! Can`t they recruit that granny???

Fluffy
It is not going to help the UK.
This Error is downsizing real police,
and in these Warmonger Brown days
Real Police are Essential.

LTNS, I do wish you`d posted yours as a separate topic - though I see the connection, in a way.
Again, the good bit is that the incident is under investigation...as you`d expect, because it`s real egg-on-face news for anyone who supports the PCSO`s.
But it`s also egg-on-face for the many very worthwhile PCSO`s all over the country. This is the second appalling `stand back and watch` incident to hit the news in a short time. It makes me feel really angry and sympathetic towards the PCSO`s who ARE doing a good job. There are obviously some who are just taking the wages and the piss. Investigate them and boot them out, the `real` police and the many worthwhile PCSO`s (not to mention the public at large) will be better off without them!

Nightowl, reading this article made me think of those cruelly exploited cockle-pickers in Morecambe Bay. It`s only a matter of time if folks are living in squalid overcrowding, and with cheapo alcohol thrown in, a fire would be the likeliest disaster, but sickness would spread fast too. And quite honestly, would it be any wonder if those immigrants turned to crime in desperation? I`d say it`s only human.
I`m glad they`re being investigated, and I hope the exploiters get thoroughly put out of business.

And get rid of these
No Good
Community officers.
