No, LT, it really ISN`T that simple, honestly it isn`t. `Getting those beds empty`...beds in acute units are STILL being `blocked`, that is, occupied by elderly (or severely disabled younger) patients who don`t NEED to be in hospital but who cannot be Safe Discharges to their previous homes, while their families or Relevant Others just stall, stall, and stall again. Folks who should have moved out of hospital into care homes, nursing homes or home with a `care package` are stalled and kept in hospitals - and I say this with cynicism borne of experience - mostly the culprits are NOT Social Services, but the family/`relevant others` who block and dither and delay. They aren`t politicians.
Stinking New Labour, Stinking Wannabee Tory, no... They`re just the `blood is thicker than water` folks, FAMILIES - sons/daughters/nieces/nephews/ the grandchildren, even the spouses/partners
who had a BREAK from their burden of care...and want to keep it going as long as possible.

Sort this, and we`ll have the capacity to take in more patients who need hospital treatment rather than just 24-hour care.

The UK Society
has had to put up with 11 years of New Labour Corruption.

Downsizing and getting those beds Empty
is what Corrupt New Labour Demand.
