What a Mega Mess Corrupt Brown has made our Energy Future.
He has signed up deals to take in old nuke waste from other nations
to bring in more cash.

They have no proper plan
and expect a private company to pick up this
Billion pounds deal?
What a Pathetic mess.

In around 15 years energy may run dry,
so it will be down to private people to fit multi solar panels
to make their own power.

Sign Of The Times.

There`s a bit in our local paper about a dairy farmer who did a bit of market research - 98 percent of locals liked his idea - to `recycle` the manure from his large dairy herd, and with this, plus some secondary input from food factories waste from local industrial estate, would be able to supply power for a large village.
We need more of this sort of thing.

Agreed!

I have no problem with us taking nuclear waste. We’re a developed, safe country and anybody dealing with it is accountable much better than it going off to more unstable corrupt countries.

It is similar situation as those America ghost ships that we more of capable of dealing with much better than them being sent to India and being broken up on a beach polluting the environment.

Which is why we are taking in old Nuke waste I imagine ... that can be reprocessed.

How can nuclear secure our energy supplies when the UK doesn’t have its own supply of uranium? The only thing that can bring security is coal, which we have loads of or sustainable resources.

Stinking New Labour and Civil Service did not manage the consultation well so Greenpeace where able to delay it by challanging it in the High court. Meanwhile more coal stations will be built becuase this group of greens are putting their own fears about radiation above the need to solve climate change.

Don't think we have the choice at the moment to abandon nuclear power completely.
But as science advances who knows what other sources may turn up, they may even find away to render the nuclear waste harmless ?
Its a very fine balance in using carbon based fuels verses nuclear fuel, just hope they get the balance right for we can't keep on pumping out carbon based pollution.....

Dave
because No Company is up for this deal
nothing is starting.

It should have started 6 years ago.

New Labour are the Worst ever power.

If we want enough power nuclear is the only option.
Every option has a down side bt Moon is right that if managed properly it will be safe.

There are still people who will not want nuclear but they do not want coal powered ones either!

Trust they will be happy sitting around a candle!

Moon
no one is building them
New Labour Policy is why.

Stinking Corrupt New Labour should have started this
6 years ago or so.

Nuclear enegry is an natural and environmentally friendly option. The amount of high level waste produced is tiny and can easily be managed if looked after safetly. Modern plants are a lot safer than the old style plants which could potentially meltdown.
