I drove past the 'depot' in Hollingdean yesterday and got caught by the temporary lights. Good lawds but those buildings look cheap and nasty - tawdry!

Does anyone live in it? It always looks dirty not at all like the promo material they had. Cheap and boring new build and right in a prime spot in the middle of Brighton.

The "glass pavilion" opposite the Pavilion is very bad.

I preferred the library when it was in Church Street and I think it had more books. Oh yes I remember they threw away a load in a skip when they moved. So much for books!

The terraces over the sea life centre - touted as being one of the most important developments for years and we end up with arcades and a Burger King

The Jubilee Library - Brightons best demonstration of its style over substance policy

Brighton Centre - its sell by date has passed yet its renewal is all still talk. Knocking it down will help focus their attention...

I could continue!

No, its the one by Phoenix Place. Anyway, someone should hit it quite a few times and reduce it to dust.

Sussex Heights and the Metropole conference hall.

I'm with TB on Hove Town Hall.

What is the name of that art building near St Peter's Church on the Lewes Road side. They painted it blue a few years back to make it look a little better?

Could demolish Sussex University, BIG blot on the landscape!

Watch it ... that's me ole alma mater you are being so disparaging about.

Mind you, I must agree, it isn't the most attractive of campuses and does tend to sprawl a bit.

I know LTNS. Extravagant of me really isn't it but I hate that building. I went to visit it once with Pelagia, two days after it opened. I haven't set foot in there again and I cannot see myself setting foot in there in the future.

Why, no bar?

Worse Daveb ... much worse ... No Books!

Yes Miriam I remember Pel's thread
on that old but better site, now gone in the bin.

It is a Blob of a building
but you should ask Pel to go with you again.
I mean now all around it has been built up with more blobs.

We all paid in our Taxes for it.
