Even in Brighton a massive amount of Customers
are up the North Road Street
all trying to remove their money.

http://news.sky.com/skynews/article/0,,30400-1284080,00.html

And even worse the Northern Rock Online Account
today is not working?
No wonder all the Branches are now
packed with customers trying to remove their money.

Boom and Bust under New Labour Brown,

Sign Of The Times.

Both s shareholders and as tax-payers. However I think rhyme and reason go out the window when litigation calls.
Daveb Posted - 19/02/2008 : 13:52:15
Radio reported that shareholders would sue the governement for nationalising.

Forgive me if I am wrong but surely they would lose everything if the society was left to go bust?
thedelboy Posted - 19/02/2008 : 11:22:41
Short term "Nationalsation" this is probably due to the "Media"repoting that Branson had it in the bag prematurely,(Gordon is hedging his bets)give it 3-6 months and he will have the ruddy bank,Gordon and Alisdair cannot be seen to being anything but open ;I think the British public have already sussed the way Tony got his job so brown and his Darling are prepping the way for thier next employ

Did anyone see "Dispatches: How The Banks Bet Your Money" last night on Channel 4? It was a rather interesting take on the US sub-prime to Northern Rock downfall, detailing the greed and incompetence of the banking lending and investment practices with regard to the US sub-prime market.

Some what more interesting than Panorama's half hour Shock-Pop-Docs, this time about the bottled water industry aired at same time on BBC 1.

SkyNews and BBCNews
have now confirmed
Pathetic Brown is going to Nationalise Northern Rock.
This is Sneaked out on a Sunday while the Markets are Closed.

Branson who owns the near bankrupt VirginTV
demanded no €uro rules for his deal of VirginMoney Banks.
They could not agree at all.

Northern Rock
is in a mess.
Still No buyer.
No one can get £15Billion on the table.

For Every UK Tax payer
it is 2000 pounds each for this New Labour Mess.

Shareholders not doing well.

http://news.sky.com/skynews/article/0,,30400-1300774,00.html

Nationalisation will only
be blocked and so they should Close the Fucker.
Their boss Fucked it all up.
If it was Southern Rock - it would be dead by now.

My anger is Brown is doing all of this for his Own
Northern Vote
That is Criminal.

Brown spoke to ITV News At Ten
he said not much his same old mantra.
He thinks if he takes it over it can still go back to the private sector.

And on ITV News At Ten
they also said he is more worried about the votes he
could lose.

Tomorrow is crunch time for New Labour and Northern Rock
Ch4News & SkyNews
both said Shareholders will not roll over,
but All of New Labour is in a Panic about is Tax Payers money
and their Election (which should not come into this).
long time no see Posted - 12/01/2008 : 21:09:45
So Mr.Bankrupt Virgin TV Branson
placed many big ads in papers some weeks ago saying how VirginMoney
would solve Northern Rock.

Now we are told on TV News and Radio News
Branson Can NOT raise the Cash needed,
so soon the UK public will be funding Northern Rock
through Brown.

This stinks.
Every News Station said if it was Southern Rock
it would have closed,
this is All about Votes,
it Stinks.
FACT.

Yes it seems its quite common practise to be less than diligent with our data no matter where its held.
A financial and economic time bomb waiting to go off....

Understand the police are searching local tips now for those lost discs, how desperate they must be....

played with Well Dodgy Stinking American Bankrupt home loans.

But the Way Pathetic-Weak

As reported on UK Radio and TV News.

Then again LTNS you must admit to it goving you ample opportunity to spout your disgust again. Every cloud, or so it seems, certainly does have a silver lining

where does the sum of £2 billion come from ? the government have allready admitted to the sum of £24 billion with the sum probably going to be "48 billion by the end of the fiasco,so does this mean that the government effectively own the mortages of the borrowers?? I am really confused on this one
nightowl Posted - 20/11/2007 : 11:00:40
With so much tax payers money tied up by this bank now we could say its the first bank to be nationalised by Labour .
If anybody takes it over it will be 20 years or more before the tax payer start to get their money back,it would have been better to have left it to market forces to sort it out rather than pumping money in.....
Just think what could have been done on housing and the NHS with this money.....

New Labour holding up Northern Rock
is not wise.
Of Course when Northern Rock kicks the dust
New Labour will lose the North Vote.

Anyone with money in that bank should take it out.

No company can buy Northern Rock
under this current Un-Stable New Labour Mess.
Fluffy Sheep Posted - 16/11/2007 : 18:14:28
I suppose that this would be good news to the Northern Rock customers who lost out...would it?
(I don`t really understand the world of high finance.) And the £2 billion tax write-off - does that go to alleviating the losses of individual investors? If it does, it`s like the government acting as an insurance company...and if it doesn`t, is it just giving the company a clean slate so a Virgin multi-millionaire can take it on and make a profit? (so he can pay tax on it...)
long time no see Posted - 16/11/2007 : 17:14:18
2 Billion pounds and more
of Our Tax money
would be wiped off
if another company takes over Northern Rock.

Fucking Brown
using my money to be wiped off.
That is Criminal.
New Labour are a bunch of Criminals.

They Should rename Northern Rock to New Labour Bank.

This stinks of New Labour Corruption.
From Ch4 News Live tonight
The Bank Of England has now said it will offer 10Billion pounds
and even 30Billion pounds to back up Banks in trouble.
Even though a week or so ago the same Bank Of England said that was
dangerous.

http://www.channel4.com/news/articles/business_money/40bn+injection+risking+financial+chaos/821447

Brown has set this up
and of course he will not admit this.

More Proof that New Labour is not Honest at all.
The Bank Of England is not Independent enough.
