Don't be coy, moonie, we all know what else you would like to see at the opening ceremony:

Mind you, the Chinese are already preparing ways of dealing with any stray Morris Troupes that find their way to Beijing this summer:

Posted - 23/04/2008 : 12:17:20 Why can't we have a 'make do and mend' style olympics. It's all coke advertising and big flashy stadiums these days. Take it back to the old school and use a school playing fields. We would save loads of money.

Those were the days. Nearly bankrupt, on rationing, surrounded by rubble left over from the Blitz, yet still able to put on a great games for three guineas, half a crown, two shillings and a tuppence-thruppeny bit.
Now, oily lizard Ken has probably siphoned off eleventy-billion pounds of the money from central government to ensure there are Sheikh Qaradawi-approved ablution facities in all rooms of the Olympic Village. Gah! |

Posted - 22/04/2008 : 13:23:03 I wish Daveb ... I truly wish that we had that level of accountability. As for cancelling the Olympics ... another wish unlikely to be granted. We cannot afford it but that has never really been a factor it would seem |

I would also expect the people responsible for the budget to resign. |
