I reckon you could pick up a fleet on the second hand market.

Thought I may start a Tuk Tuk company!

Anyone here ever run a for-profit business?
Daveb Posted - 09/06/2008 : 20:35:18
This is just a joke. Can only be down to poor maintenance or poorly trained drivers.
What else are they not doing?
Too many cut backs?

The latest 'final' offer was actually withdrawn by the MD's so doesnt really count.
his fuel price is about 60ppl, oh and dont forget the pay rise the directors gave themselves in 2006/2007 and the returned profit to go ahead.. http://www.go-ahead.com/content/doc/cms/Annual%20Report%202007.pdf page 6 rev 42.7million etc

A bus strike in Brighton and Hove
is looking inevitable after
a final offer was rejected by drivers.

Sack them all

Employ 24/7 Polish Drivers.

I wish you would go either on holiday or Strike LT your posts are now so predictable

Fares are going up to pay for the rise in fuel costs, not like the fare rise late last year to cover pay rise and increase in fuel. The drivers never got their pay rise.
RF also stated that the strike would be "futile" and he has plans to ensure that a 'normal service' is running. Where is he going to get 300 drivers to cover the strike action to keep a 'normal service' running.
If he is so confident, why did he produce new offer moments before the talk on the web and radio interview?

Miriam Binder Posted - 17/05/2008 : 17:21:22
Maybe bus passengers should go on strike.

The situation would be improved if Roger French went on strike.

I`ve used the word to address groups of secondary school pupils, back in my teaching days, and I often use it to address a group of patients (6 at a time, in a hospital ward bay - eg. `good morning, folks!` Though I often say `Chaps` instead of `Folks`, even in a female ward.) I`ve NEVER had anyone take exception to this.
I have addressed folks (see?)on this forum, and on the old Argus one before this - and never once, not even with some of the pedants on the old Argus forum, has anyone felt moved to nitpick about it!
NOW, for some reason, LT uses it and gets PASTED! This seems hardly fair, folks....
