Page 13 of todays Argus.

Mid Sussex District Council
claim the 112,000 Chip Bins are not going to be activated yet.
They claim to have bought them as a precaution in case the Government
made them Compulsory in the future.

Sign Of The Times.

Moon might suggest silver foil.

I wonder if these chips could be disabled with a strong radio signal or a magnet passing over them? Park it next to youe nearest phone mast and see what happens.

In a distant sort of way I imagine ... the darker side of human nature type of thing

Bin Rage?
No Monty?

You'll see the start of a new phenomenon soon. Bin Rage!!!!! Neighbours falling out because one accuses the other of emptying their household rubbish in the wrong bin. On the other hand, new alliances can be formed. Mrs S who lives on her own does not use her bin to full capacity, she will share the space in her bin with Mr and Mrs. C who have 6 kids in return for which master C (Jr) will mow her lawn.

I was impressed with Hastings council who said that the £1,000,000 on the new bins was so that if they blow away the bin could be returned to the correct house. Of course a tin of paint and a few stencils could do the same job but would never cost as much........

I think everyone should put their non-recyclables in the bin of whoever in the street drives a 4x4 :)

And all those plastic fumes will make the Newhaven incinerator seem like a rose garden.

Bonfires are coming!

I wonder if it's been considered how much easier is going to be for thieves to steal our identities.
long time no see Posted - 30/05/2007 : 20:32:50
Won't be long and Brighton Council
may do the same.
Miriam Binder Posted - 30/05/2007 : 20:32:09
I bet we won't see a corresponding reduction in council tax though.

bin brother is coming! this is the new way they are going to charge you in a near future and straight from your account, it is a method already use in Belgium.

The less waste people produce, the better.

But is this the way to get them to do so?

Perhaps it is, as so many continue to put out stuff rather than compost/recycle.

There should also be less packaging.
