The Stanley Arms is a bit of a hike from Kemp Town, but are there good pubs in Hove? So many of them are awful, Eleanor Rigby pubs like the Neptune - "ah, look at all the lonely people!" |

Don't forget that from Friday to Sunday there is another Beer Festival at the Stanley Arms in Wolsley Road, Portslade. |

Today's Argus has a report about the terrifying events at the Whistlestop Inn in Station Road, Portslade. Even the bouncers hurl people through glass windows, and, at the drop of a hat, all the regulars pile into a brawl. The Council is going to have it shut down completely.
There would not be such scenes if it were a branch of Truffles.
Thank heavens for the Stanley Arms!
