Barack Obama and John Edwards both beat H.Clinton.
BornInHove claimed Clinton will be the winner how very wrong he is.
Huckabee is the Republican winner.
Update: 4-6-08 __________________________________________________ Barrack Wins

Posted - 09/06/2008 : 07:19:34 One of the many reasons I like Obama is that he is a totally new guy ... He doesn't have any 'dynastic' past to live up to or to live down for that matter. |

Posted - 09/06/2008 : 06:23:53 Ah yes, and here in lies the problem...the advisors could well be from the group that got us (the US and allies) into this mess. But I say it's worth a shot after all. |

Posted - 09/06/2008 : 06:14:17 ..............'he may not have the "experience" to be president but he will give it a shot"............I only hope he will surround himself with a team of top flight advisors who will state things as they are regardless, as opposed to 'yes' men who only try to climb their own ladder.

Camelot, .............."what could Iran do from the mountains??" The same as the Taliban do from the mountains in Afghanistan.
You mean nothing?
I am joking some here... but on a world wide scale the Taliban in the mountains in Afgahnistan (Pakistan?) is not much of a problem after all. The real problem with the destruction of Iran by US forces would be a humanitarian one. There are many Iranians that are Westernised enough to enjoy life: and an all out assault would decimate both them and the radicals in hours. Are you denying that US conventional (non Nuke) forces could reduce Iran to rubble in days? That a continuous bombing campaign could keep the country in rubble for generations?
In any event I believe your concerns about Obama are misplaced. Think of Tiger Woods the golfer... Obama does not have secret ties to Islamic radical elements and the efforts to portray him as such came mainly from a desperate political campaign that is now over. The Republican Party campaign will now pick up that banner and attempt to paint him as a dangerous pacifist with Islamic leanings. Barf!
I have met Obama several times in Chicago's East Bank club ...an Athletic facility where I can be an invited visitor but HE can afford to be a member
I can only pass on that he has always been friendly and open to all who have approached him...including my children. He may not have the "experience" to be president but he will give it a shot. How can he do worse than what has gone on for the last 8-10 years??

Posted - 08/06/2008 : 08:19:45 Mayhaps Camelot. In fact, you are right of course, it is a strong lobby and not only the Jews either. But I have always held that it will not get sorted out until it is left to smoulder on its own ... the Middle East situation that is. |
| camelot |
Posted - 08/06/2008 : 06:58:33 It is a very strong lobby Miriam. And it influences many others ... The Israeli sword rattling about Iran is sooo 1980's... The truth is, Iran can be eliminated as a threat in a matter of hours if the US decides to do it. I am NOT boasting, merely pointing out the reality of the situation. When I bring this subject up at the lunch table, many say that Iran would simply move their war forces into the mountains, where the US would not be able to effectively attack them. What a joke…what could Iran do from the mountains? The US could bomb the country forever, keeping the fighting forces starving in the mountains for generations. Iran is not a threat. It is a an inconvienient |

Posted - 07/06/2008 : 14:13:34 Israel has been stating all along that it is willing to bomb Iran if it continues with its Uranium Enrichment. This is in no way connected to the statement Barrack Obama has made. Having said that, I was impressed with his much earlier statement ... in his very early campaign days ... where he declared that he would leave Israel and the rest of the middle East sort themselves out. This run around the Zionist Lobby is rather disappointing. Still, he has now, hopefully retracted. |
| BLONDIE |
Posted - 07/06/2008 : 13:59:58 Very odd. No sooner does Barak Obama STATE CATEGORICALLY that the US of A will back Israel to the hilt plus Jerusalen will be the CAPITAL of Israel, that Israel is stating that it will have to start bombing Iran.
.....................and this guy is possibly going to be in the White House ???? |
| Borninhove |
Posted - 07/06/2008 : 08:46:00 I KNEW it was too good to be true. Just as I was stunned by Obama's comments about an undivided Jerusalem remaining the capital of Israel, so must his controllers have been because within 24 hours of his statement in his speech, they were backpedalling furiously. Sure enough, his campaign is saying he didn't really mean what he said (very clearly) in his speech.
Oh dear.
So what does he believe? What he himself said in his speech or what his campaign is now claiming he means? It's all very rum. |

Posted - 06/06/2008 : 15:15:54 Sure they do , Blondie that is why he is the best.
You make it sound like his roots within him are wrong.
But Infact you are Wrong. He should soon be the Next President. |

Yes like many Black Americans he is a highly educated person but the roots go deep.
Again Blondie I will ask are you claiming that it is the genetic makeup that determines world views? |

I do not think this is exactly true...but as we saw both Clinton and Obama worshipping at the altar of AIPAC yesterday, it is obviously an important voting bloc.
I think those concerns about Obama expressed by BiH and others stem from the fact that Hilary was pretty muched owned by AIPAC. As would any other person who was representing her New York constituency. So they are voting FOR a known Israel supporter (best voting record on Israeli policies, etc) rather than against an unknown like Obama. I believe Obama will come around to the same Israeli support that has been offered by Hilary. I cannot see why anyone would expect otherwise...
PS Before I get a rant that I am saying that Israel is running the US ... The candidates have or will spend time worshipping at the Cuban PAC, The Mexican PAC, and many others. Remember we are all owned (including AIPAC) by the pharmaceutical, chemical, energy and arms industries anyway. So perhaps it is a moot point

You seem to forget one very important thing Blondie, Barack was not brought up in Africa. Now if you are under the (mistaken) impression that genetics are actually what determine our world view then I would ask you why the maternal genetic contribution does not seem to weigh with you. To the best of my knowledge Barack does not have a Luo mother. |

Tribalism in Africa is part of the culture of the African. What everybody has forgotten is that Barak Obama's father was a Kenyan who happened to be in Hawaii when Barak was born. Therefore Barak is an American citizen. His father subsequently went back to Kenya and remained there until his death. Barak has visited his relations in Kenya in the past and still has ties there. His father was of the Luo tribe who subsequently were responsible for the mass killings in the recent elections there. Blood and tribal ties are very very strong. A descendant of the Luo tribe in the White House .....................................?????
Further it would seem he is intent on destroying whatever peace negotiations were in place with his latest very definate statements on Israel, Jerusalem and the Palestinians.
Perhaps McCain is the lesser of the three evils.
So what if his father was/is Luo? He was brought up in America and the fact that he not only acknowledges but also visits his Kenyan relations is not something I would hold against him. |

Posted - 05/06/2008 : 15:48:39 AS MC Cain knows the real suffering of war not like Blair or Bush ,He will understand that war is a last resort!!If only we could have a retired soldier who worked thier way up the ranks then perhaps this country would take a step nearer normality |

Barack also said yesterday that he wanted a unified Jerusalem to remain the capital of Israel and would do everything in America's power to preserve "the only democracy in the Middle East". I was watching him on Al Jazeera and his speech went down like a lead baloon. A lot of people had really got their hopes up about Barack Hussein, and he's let them down greatly. Personally, I've got a lot more respect for the man now.

Sure but the Young are not as Nasty as the backers of that crazy half dead 71 year old.
Look at the Massive amounts of new young voters looking to Get out of Iraq.
The good thing is Clinton is now Out at last.
