One of Brighton and Hove's most prestigious shopping developments could lie empty after Asda announced the closure of all its George stores.
My vote goes for a Greggs superstore, incorporating a bakery and museum of pasties through the ages. Oooh, the kids would love that! |

Posted - 25/03/2008 : 16:20:16 Same old Brighton - it talked up the quadrant as if it was gods gift to retailing. It expected the likes of John Lewis etc to come running. And look what we got! |

Posted - 25/03/2008 : 15:39:24 Yes, how on earth did the Council ever envisage that Harvey Nichols would want to have a small store in that mis-matched building in that odd spot?
I think it will be hard to let. Better as small shops. |
