Great to see the Aldi building
being made to open in July.

Station Road over the Railway crossing.
Up from where Tesco is.

It was the BMW showroom.

Real police on the beat, should be the norm.

Next you will say
Life in the city.

At this rate the local newsagents will need a machine gun post.
Unfortunately, that is the case in sonme areas.

Real Police under Stinking New Labour
not going to happen.

And All Supermarkets
must have Security.
Lidl & Aldi take more Cash than other stores
that is why Most stores
have Proper staff.

I was shocked when I went round that Aldi
one bloke at the till
and the Back area I could walk right into
with no one watching.

The Manager who is Young
has Failed 100%
FACT.

The Portslade Homeguard!
This could be a thread of its own?

This is a wonderful image.

I am sure that Mr Patel would find no shortage of volunteers to man it round the clock, and if the milkman got a round of pellets in the rear, that is a price to be paid in the battle zone that is contemporary Portslade.

The first politician to bring back the Home Guard will romp to an unprecedented Parliamentary majority.

You having a Laugh,

Two with Knives
The Police say Public stay away from that trouble.

It is Aldi's own fault
it is a very open store
you could walk into the back area easy.

Sloppy Staff
are 100% to blame
and the bloke that hired them.

Doesn't sound as if the Portslade residents are made of very tough stuff if they did not all pile in together and leap upon these hoodlums. They are happy enough to keep fghting in the pub by the station which was then closed down but they will not take on these thugs. Double standards.

The LCD big TV's are worth having but
their get away car or motor bikes were
down the road.

The coins were not Locked
the Notes were.

Cash seems the only thing worth thieving here, not impressed by their products or the smell of the store on my one and only visit, distinct aroma of rotting food!
Still you get what you pay for.......

It is a lesson for them
as a New store - this is Typical, infact.
They asked to be robbed
by not having two Security guards.

Not much of advert for Aldi, is it? Doesn't sound as if they found anything worth stealing apart from the money.
long time no see Posted - 20/08/2007 : 16:20:21
From Todays Argus
this new Aldi was robbed by 2 men with knives.
They ran off with money, in coins, in big bags
to a get away car.

Of Course they will have them on VT.

Very True

Having said that, it does seem a tad double standards doesn't it. All those council notices and stuff do not distract drivers?
Infinite Poppadum Posted - 03/08/2007 : 17:10:12
Part of the reason for the fine was because the signs could distract drivers and cause death. A high price to pay for cheap beans.

For Aldi
well worth the fine.

Some of those signs were near the Lidl Store
on the A259.

Most shops have that problem
The Tills at this Aldi are wide.
Miriam Binder Posted - 27/07/2007 : 12:13:53
Nicely ignoring what I said about the aisles. Well done LTNS.

It has Parking
that is what matters.
Great Food from €urope.
Special Deals.

Aldi is above Lidl in Quality.

The disabled car park spaces are rather a way away from the store because of the layout of the carpark. Went there yesterday as I was in the area to see my daughter. It was very light and bright but some of the aisles were difficult to negotiate as they had huge trolleys being used by staff restocking the shelves.
Infinite Poppadum Posted - 27/07/2007 : 10:19:00
They have special offers on Thursdays and Sundays. I am surprised that LTNS has not announced this.

Perhaps he is busy negotiating with the West Pier Trust for a season ticket at the i360 so that he can keep an eye on boats arriving from China and dockling at Shoreham where they will disgorge more plastic items to sell at Aldi and he can be first in the queue.

The New Aldi is Open
with a good Car Park a block beyond the store
it comes round the back of the Store.

Infinite Poppadum Posted - 20/07/2007 : 10:01:48
How does LTNS know which end of a pasty to eat first? His geography is very poor.

The new Aldi is on Carlton Terrace, Portslade.

He has slender grasp of

life in the city.

Yes opens the other store in the New Year.

Aldi even do organic - also tea !
http://aldi.com.au/sp_organic_way/start.html

Should be popular with Brightonians.
Control Panel Posted - 19/07/2007 : 18:33:48
Gosh! Aldi leave nothing to chance.

Anybody who buys teabags there can make use of the "after sales helpsite".

Doubtless the highly-trained staff at the other end of the line will be able to advise on how many bags to put in a pot when making tea for four.

As it's Aldi tea, the answer is probably eight bags and three for the pot.
