As many of you will know the BBC have been filming over the Summer the treetop and tunnel protest to save Ancient Titnore Woods, the end result will be shown on BBC South soon after 7.30 pm, Wednesday October 17th as part of the 'Inside Out' series.
We understand the programme theme will be 'Does Direct Action Work' and there will be a follow-up debate and phone-in about the rights, wrongs and impact of direct action the following morning. This will go out on BBC Radio Solent (Hampshire, Dorset, IoWight) Radio Berks (Berkshire, unsurprisingly) Radio Oxford and Southern Counties Radio.
Our contact at the Beeb has told us that the House Builders Federation, Road builders and more than likely Airport expansion junkies will be asked to contribute before the 'phone-in'. However we have been asked to see if anyone from either House Building, Roads, Airports, Supermarket, Animal Rights, Climate Change etc, etc campaigns would also like to contribute to the start of the debate.
Of course after the phone-in part, everyone can join in - and I hope you all will phone in. Clearly this will be a high profile event covering much of the south of England during peek TV and radio time, with an audience of millions - and even during the lead up to an election?.
