Is this privatising propaganda or true?

English 'pull own teeth' as dental service decays

LONDON (AFP) - Falling numbers of state dentists in England has led to some people taking extreme measures, including extracting their own teeth, according to a new study released Monday.

OK, we have a dire shortage of NHS dentists in the UK as so many have chosen to go private. A friend of mine who gave up nursing to be a dental assistant worked for a great team of NHS dentists who went private. Why? because so many clients didn`t keep appointments, apparently.

Well reguardless of who is at fault it seems to me that people are suffering needlessly. I know, I know, whats new?....but we are all aware that health care is essential to the survival of us. All of us! I get really irritated when the political right and left argue economic points when the the suffering is real and the cost is insignificant to what we spend on war...at least in the USA.

On a lighter note (almost), here's another "do it youself" method for pain relief. Got nails??

It certainly would have been one way of going about it. Except that, as LTNS continuously points out, this is not good old Labour but a reformed Labour, a right of left Labour, a Labour that had re-invented itself after years of being unsuccessful (in regaining the power it had lost).

sadly New Labour had 10 years but failed big time.

Reforms in the NHS started long before New Labour took over control of the government.
