went to see the festival events over the w/e,not as busy as usual but still good.saw the maids at the old ship, sat opp fanny fanshaw who kept falling asleep, very rude i thought as a great play and interesting venue,he was slumped in his chair, must be worn out from all the whatever he gets up to??Tried to see playrec on saturday with my cancelled ticket from thurs washout but they wouldn't let me in.later i found out that people left halfway through, not sure why??Just was interested in a bit of old 50's nostalgia?

I was a bit disappointed with streets of brighton this year. I didn't get to see much - too many tall people! I missed the surprise element of turning a street corner and bumping into a totally unexpected piece of wild and wacky entertainment.

New low for the festival.20 street acts over 3 days, stand for an hour in pouring rain waiting for act to start.£45 for a ticket to the opera at the pavillion.
Udderbelly, shite.(No spiegal tent as they lost money last year, despite full house every night, due to charges by the council ie ground rent ,electricity, chemical loos etc etc(Edinburgh provide it all free for the spieg.))
Seems like the festival organisers have totally screwed up this year by trying to go to highbrow.
2 for the price of 1 tickets on sale now for acts/shows.
Desperation setting in to mke a few quid.
THIS FESTIVAL IS TOTAL F.U.B.A.R.
nOTHING HAPPENING AT PRESTON PARK TO SIGNIFY THE END OF THE FESTIVAL.JUST 2 DAYS OF GAWD KNOWS WHAT AT THE MARINA.
Festival organisers have screwed up this year

There is no buzz about it.

Needs a change or organiser.

Anyway, people prefer to spread across the year the thngs they see.

I refute any implication that I am to blame for the failure of the Festival. I don't even go to any of it , much too elitist for me and no family venues for the kiddies..........

I came into the world with nothing and still have most of it left..

It alway has been our wish to attend some organize entertaining for kids in Rottindean seaside, normally was run at the same time of the parade in Brighton, but we never make it; everybody were exhausted after the parade or we arrived too late. So this year we didn't take part in the parade and decided instead to visit Rottingdean, the games were cancelled or never plan. Never mind, we had a quiet time on the beach.
