The Sussex Book Shop
on St.James Street is now going to be a American Starbucks
with their weak own branded Tea.

They are working on that site now.
It is a big corner store
Typical of that American group to move in on Every area
they can.

For the Worst Tea
Starbucks are for you.

If they serve good products at competitive prices then they have a chance of success.
Same for all.

We're all doomed!
Head for the hills before they start heading for you!

Flippng hell, not another one, selling overpriced coffee. Do we really need any more of these outlets; everytime there's an empty shop, up pops a Starbucks, Cafe Nero etc. There's about 5 or 6 within spittig distance of where I work in Ship Street, alone. I'm with LT on this, but for slightly different reasons.

No LTNS ... the price of free enterprise and a free market. Supply and demand. If people did not use them they would not sprout up all over the place.

Really? Where did Pel say anything about Bleedin' Greedy Americans? Globalisations and the Globalised market forces are not exclsively American LTNS. You find British firms all over the world as well as Dutch, Israeli, French, German, Italian and numerous other countries. ...

Greggs sells hot Food
in a much larger scale than that American Starbucks.

So they are not like each other
Except Greggs gives me and Pel and thousands of customers
the best Quality Tetley Tea at the best price in this city.

But Tesco are now being told to stop
in many areas.

This Evil American Starbucks,
with the Worst Coffee and Tea (Well over Priced)
their own weak brands, can move into any area.

So of Greggs are so much larger then Starbucks and sell so much more in, one must assume, so many more outlets ... what's your problem LTNS - except for them being an American company that is.

Starbucks!! Great coffee - internet connection - still has an indoor air-conditioned smoking section - one of my favourite haunts here in Arabia. I must've spent over 10 hours there this weekend catching up on my marking. Love the place.

Good to see England catching up with the developed world with this Starbucks on St. James St.
Great addition to the town
With yummy three cheese ciabatta or toasted smoked turkey melt or chicken caesar wrap
Hot food different from a greasy pasty in a paper bag
Or a stale donut filled with fruitless jam

Excellent news
American expertise reaches grotty British backwater
LTNS outraged
Locals happy to enjoy some quality products
And the comfy armchairs
(Don't find any of them in Greggs! FACT!)

Valhalla, I am coming!

St.James St has many
doing better than that
American Evil Starbucks Bland store can do
even a Polish Coffee and Tea store.

Non of them want this Mega American Starbucks
in that Prime position.
FACT.

What did happen to you in the States, LTNS?

Hurrah for Starbucks
Bringing super tasty coffee
To drab St James St
American know-how, expertise and skill in the catering industry
Will attract many customers

Grumps, luddites and Meldrews
Can skulk in their Greggs
Standing with a polystyrene cup of Tetley's
Cloth cap (or tinfoil one) on head
Puddle of rainwater collecting around their feet

All the fun, cool party people
Will be sipping their Caramel Frappe Skinny Latte Mochachinos with a shot of Almond
And wiggling their hips
In their comfy armchairs
Grooving to the tunes

Life in the (now improved) City

Here is something for LTNS to think about tonight just before beddybies. Sweet dreams.

Maybe they should take a leaf out of Greggs' book and get LTNS to post about them.

took that store over
St.James St has more than enough
as it is.

If the existing Tea and Coffee shop in Jimmy Street are good with loyal customers then Starbucks will close.

Maybe it is because they are not so good is the reason they fear Starbucks?
