I would have thought America has enough of it's own oil.
Fuel is still cheap in USA.
I think a ploy to save it's own oil may be at the heart of imports.

This one gets me...there was a strong effort, principally from the FOX network (who else?) , to start a boycott of CITGO Gasoline (Petrol) outlets here. They started banging the drum about the time Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez offered low cost petrol to those who had trouble meeting the sudden escalation of price in the USA. This really got to the FOX/Wall Street Journal crowd and suddenly it was not “patriotic” to fill your tank at a CITGO USA (Partially Venezuela owned) pump. Nice job putting the thousands of people who owned and worked for the small “Gas and Go” shops on the ledge.. They had as much to do with Chavez as you and I.
P.S. I buy petrol from BP, Shell, or Citgo here in Chicago…if you want to see who controls my “oil” look up the ownership and home countries of these companies. Here’s a hint, BP has a big share here and the first word of the name is British

here in the UK
and they do not care one bit who they screw up in money terms.
Good to see CNN America now Live and Free on their Site, at last.
Our €uro CNN TV version
would have in it a one hour special about golf resorts (that is crazy for a monday)
but the Website CNN Live sticks with current USA & World News.
I wonder if those Scum at Fox News USA will do a live and free on the web? |
