News here that people are cutting back on restaurants now. What does this mean for Brighton, which makes so much of being full of them (so many of them so bad)?

Wokomania
of course
Easy 10 was not charged for all with him
his first post was a gem.

Wokomania Police
came online,
keeping it a top thread.

And unlike this low key hidden site
it was a Google Hit.

From
London ITV Local News
more than 15 local traders are closing in Brick Lane
it appears Tesco Metro's and the like are the only solid firms
who can pay the new 100% Rate increase.

So what will soon happen in Brighton
as Trading Land /Property etc becomes well over priced,
will be the same as Brick Lane London.

I sahould think that if LTNS ever feels like upgrading himself from walking the street with a pasty in a Greggs bag, he could not bring himself to enter a Ship Street restaurant by the name of dirty stinking corrupt Browns.

Momma Cherri's restaurant is closing down. All the publicity puts people off. Nothing in the Argus about this! They were always boosting it as a "city" thing.

If the restaurant was good enough to eat in publicity would have made it flourish ....

Momma Cherris was good food slightly over priced but bloudy plenty of it ,Gordon ramsey ruined it(FACT) Wokmania over rated pretty bland;golden dragon (was in there last night all you can eat £5.80) still the best in brighton but am really sorry to say the prawns are no longer the spicy ones I like.Buffet Island I have tried that numerous times and as much as the food looks good,Personally I found it bland and the place has no ambience(sorry as the staff are real friendly and helpfull)Now the "Prince of wales" in churchill sq that did do fantastic food but recently the kitchen is closed I do not know why? the POND is now doing great food but again slightly over priced for a pub/bistro.one place I had a "Kronenburger"(pint and a burger supposedly from aberdeen angus beef £7.50)was absolutely crap chips were cold and the burger was like eating rubber. So my favourite would still be the "GOLDEN DRAGON" Trafalgar st

Starbucks has replaced its chairman as the firm is losing market share in America, and is closing some branches.

Hope for Brighton and Hove!

The early branches, in Seattle, advised by Alfred Peet, were something distinctive. Same old problem with "growth" - they moulder.

The Argus has belatedly noticed how many closed-down premises there are in Preston Street.

The very look of that street is off-puting.
