Greggs are now open on London Road.
80p will get you a quality tetley tea.
It is next door to the Sony shop.
Also Somerfields have a better store now more room
new layout,
and better tills set up.

| Perhaps we are a bunch of cheapskates here in Portslade, but a fiver buys you a vacuum flask - and infinte tea for next to nothing. |

All is now explained. Portslade people can drink that tea and milk mixture which has been slopping around in a flask all day and so it no longer tastes like tea.
No wonder they voted for Sue John! |

| im sure i heard on the radio a few days back that it doesn't matter what tea bags you use we still have the worst tea in the world. you can't beat a cup of tea made with evporated milk. |

HERESY!!! You'll be telling us you put the milk in FIRST next! Tea with evaporated milk is just ghastly but, unfortunately, is the most common type sold here in Arabia. In a thick polystyrene cup. With about half a kilo of sugar in. Yuck!
The tiny "stickana" cups of tea stuffed with fresh mint leaves and a bit of sugar are quite good, and the 'Elachi Chai' the Indians drink which is boiled with milk, sugar and cardoman isn't bad, but you can't beat a good, strong cup of PG Tips with real, fresh, whole milk (none of yer fishy-tasting skimmed nonsense, either).
Still, at least it's better than in the USA where, when not tossing the stuff into harbors, the beastly Americans serve up a cup of tepid water with a pathetic attempt at a teabag stapled to a paper tag and piece of string nestling in the saucer. With a stale slice of lemon. Gak!
Right. Tea rant over. I'm off to Starbucks.

| starbucks is a fantastic place we should have more of them. the one in sainsburys in lewes road is a great little place. hot chocolate with whipped cream and cinnimon sprinkled on top on a freezing cold day. mmmmm |

Teabags should be outlawed. One teaspoon per person and one for the pot. Warm the pot first and always take to pot to the kettle. Let it brew for three or four minutes. Now you will have a cup of tea that was renowned throughout the length and breadth of the British Empire. Remember the old slogan during the war, "Tea revives you".

| Hailing from Lancashire, it irks me to say this, but you really can't beat Yorkshire Tea. They have thoughtfully come up with a hard water blend for us down here. Nothing else comes close. |
