Okay ... so what do you do with teabag ... apart from dipping it in a mug of hot water that is.

Oh for Pete's sake they do that here as well sometimes. That way you can determine your own strength of brew!

Rot LTNS, I suggest that it was you who had no idea how the Californian worker at that Californian eatery was told to present tea. Different strokes for different folks and all that. Not everyone is up to the minute on the LTNS way of doing things and there is no reason why they should be.

Tea is not tea unless made with boiling water. If the water is of a lower temperature the leaves do not infuse, and it all only a very poor excuse for tea.

LTNS should have taken a thermometer with him when he appeared in Hollywood, and then he could have explained to them the parlous nature of the situation in which he found himself there.

George Harrison understood the importance of tea. He liked to drink it.

He sings in "It's All Too Much":

"Sail me on a silver sun
Where I know that I'm free,
Show me that I'm ev'rywhere -
And get me home for tea"

No stopping off at Greggs for him or the other Wilburys.

Has anybody been to The Tea Rooms in Southover Street? There is certainly no drinking from the saucer there, apparently, and anybody who so much as mentions Greggs gets the strongarm treatment.

Bit late, but I've been out all day. You can let the t-bags get cold, and put them on your eyes. It is supposed to be very
refreshing for your eyes (allegedly).

Mim and i went there with a couple of other forum members. It was delicious! Very refined, tea out of silver teapots etc.

Aren't you getting confused with cucumber slices here?

Nope. Definitely teabags. Something to do with the tannin.

Here is a summary of encouraging news after rats were given some tea in an experiment.

However, this was black tea and there is no assurace that the Greggs brew would have a similar benefical effect (fresh milk or otherwise).

congrats forumites. The postings on this topic have now passed the 500 mark.

I wonder if anyone at Greggs reads this. Do you think we could get a free cuppa if we go in and say we are members of this forum, and have been giving them massive publicity (courtesy of LTNS who started it all)?

I do not think Greggs will be giving LTNS any free tea. Greggs management will amiss at hm because he keeps calling all the other posters on the topic "nutters".

I should not be surprised if Greggs begins to levy a surcharge of 50% when he goes in to buy a tea the half-pence rounded up).

Is this Greggs thing a new form of viral marketing ? Cheaper than plastering bus shelters with gaudy posters or TV spots.

Everything stops for tea...

Seems to have been difficult again to post on the Forum. Times out. Perhaps it has now been repaired?

Oh, I see ... so maybe you should set up a similar thread for say ... Jimmy Street and how about Western Road or North Street. People visit them as well you know.
