I notice there is a poster called drizzlecake, which sounds like something mooted by that "Sandwich Development Assistant" at Greggs who came up with the Chinese mayo.
Meanwhile, on London Road, Greggs 75p tea has evidently inspired the directors of Lidl to open up one of their stores. What even dizzier heights will now be chieved by this bustling cosmopolitan thoroughfare |

So Greggs on London Road does not look like all the other Greggs?
And Woolworth's, isn't that everywhere? British Bookshops? Richer Sounds? Maplins? Blockbuster? Forfars?
Perhaps LTNS needs to find an independent equivalent of Specsavers and then look at London Road with less misty eyes, which have been made that way by the steam rising from all those cups of 75p tea. |

Yes, as we have preciously observed, it is no wonder that such inflationary pressures have made the Bank of England look so carefully at the interest rates.
It might be a cup of tea to LTNS but the consequence to others it is a monthly mortgage payment. |

But London Road may soon have a New Big Store taking over that Co-Op building.
Churchill Sq is full of clone shops it has nothing special in it.
So a New Special Store first time in Brighton in London Road would overtake Churchill (Bland) Sq, easy.
Sign Of The Times.
I agree 1 major store will turn rundown London Road into the destroyer of a 470,000 sq ft 85 shop, 5 restaurant and 1,600 parking space mall.
Churchill square has no chance.
we saw this coming now with the low low prices of aldi churchill square will be on the ropes in fact they are putting a 'for sale' board on it now and the price is only £100,000 - as nobody wants it due to the the twin pronged attack of newgreggslondonroadaldi |

| Don't know about anyone else on here, but I tried gthe new Sainsburys a couple of days after it opened. Wasn't impressed, the stock was very low. Has it improved. I love their spit-roast chickens, although my tummy doesn't - too much grease. |

It is against Health and Safety regulations to carry hot cups of Greggs tea all the way to a bench at Sainsbury's.
How does LTNS know that most people consult thsi thread for the latest hot news about London Road?

Another CP Joke.
You are going right in to Sainsburys with your Tea it has a lid on it plus a Card protection around it. No Problem at all.
You then Buy you Hot Food and go to the fast till then sit outside away from the traffic stink.

LTNS appears to be suggesting now that in fact the hot food at Sainsbury's is superior to that in Greggs.
Sir Michael Darrington will have something to say about that as he tours the country from branch to branch in his Bentley . |

Wrong Sainsburys Hot Food is not the same as Greggs.
You have great choice on London Road even the Somerfield Hot Food section. And the best Value Greggs Tea ( which has a lid on it) so you can take it into any Store. FACT. |

| But the lid on a hot tea is required to have a hole in it for the steam to get out. |

If Greggs is such an economic driver if the life of the city, why have we never heard Simon Fanshawe address the subject? What representatives does Greggs have on the Economic Partnership?
Oh, I know, LTNS will of course say that the Partnership is not of a calibre to attract such people as Sir Michael Darrington to its meetings. Let's just hope he does not spill any of that tea as he travels around in the Bentley. Perhaps it has a custom-built slot in the arm rest designed to hold a Greggs 75p tea. |

Don't laugh folks, but the first time I had a cup of coffee with that hole thinggy in the side of the lid (at Brighton Station) I thought it was a non-spillage device and you drank through the whole so the coffee didn't spill over you as the train moved! Duh!!

Do you think that it is the holy lid that is responsible for the price hike?

The price was never hiked. It was always 75p. The 70p price was just a lie to get us all to marvel at what a low price it was. |

| What will happen to the hot food at the London Road Sainsbury's if the bunch from the Middle East take over? There will be no more hot sausage rolls for LTNS. He will have to buy some dolmades instead. |

They are not sausage rolls, it is a fresh roll with split Sausages in it.
The Sainsburys buy out is to sell off land first.
Products will stay the same of course. |

And so LTNS presents us with another philosophical conundrum: when is a sausage roll not a sausage roll?
What is the answer, if there is one? |

| The Argus reports that next week the Council will vote to fix up the Bandstand. We should know more then whether Greggs will in fact be helping with the funding of this. |

| Can a sausage roll be said to exist at all? According to I-think-therefore-I-am Descartes it would appear that there really is no such thing as a sausage roll because it doesn't .... think that is. |
