Mission accomplished.

The Bentley made it out of the Marina with greater than the tuk tuk.

I have my doubts about the chauffeur, though. There was a look in his eyes. We have to be alert.

What easier way of transferring the vital information than inside a pasty? Sir Michael is a cool dude indeed.

Mysteriously, Sir Michael's chauffeur vanished during a stop at a motorway cafe (not a Greggs) on the journey back to Newcastle.
Sir Michael himself had to take to the wheel after deciding it was, of course, better not to report the mastter to the police.

If Sir Michael Darrington has time to spare from his other activities, he should read this piece about the state of the coffee-shop market, where Wetherspoons is taking an an icreasing part of the market.

Could Greggs prices go up soon?

Wheat could be a smart investment - as well as eating less.

The yacht has left the Marina after a discreet interval. Another paster is in its freezer but, of course, is not edible. There is no news of the chauffeur. Sir Michael is perturbed but does not allow this to interfere with the smooth running of his business. He would not be the man he is if he allowed anything to do so.

Turns out that Albion supporters boycott Forfars. Perhaps that helps Greggs?

There is news that there has been an explosion on the yacht. It is, though, still afloat. This could explain why the chauffeur vanished. Looks as if the explosion came from the freezer. The chauffeur could have substituted a dynamited pasty, and used a cellphone to set it off. Sir Michael will have to offer his excuses for not attending a meeting tomorrow about the North-East bacon revival - should Greggs go for back rather than streaky? - and head back for discussions in Whitehall. It is regrettable that the Prime Minister is otherwise occupied, but he is being kept apprised of developments while he is in America.

Sounds as if Sir Michael has got himself caught up in a remake of Get Smart.! Mel Brooks's finest hour (or dozens of them...).

Here is a piece about Milla Jovovich. She mentions her enthusiasm for Greggs. She is more sultry than most Greggs customers.

The plot thickens ....

It seems that Greggs negotiations to gain a concession at Glorious Goodwood have fallen through. Not even the endorsement of Donald Trump's toupe fitter were helpful.

Perhaps the London Road connection does not pass muster elsewhere in Sussex.

A Tribalpasty release.

Indeed she is . . . .

Don't suppose there's much chance of bumping into her at the London Rd Greggs, though . . .

If she gets like that after a cup of 75p tea, a couple of cocktails must lead to wild times indeed. She recould regenerate the London Road in one evening.

His recent melodramatic days have left him talking in this extraordinary way about "a moving beast" when he means market conditions.

Don't let anybody think I am decrying Mrs Poppadum, who is the very flower of womanhood, but could anybody enlist Milla to convince Mr Arghiros of the error of his ways over the King Alfred?

Here is an article about vegansexuals. Vegans who will not have sex with meat-eaters. Perhaps there are high-principled people who will not have sex with Greggs customers - although I suppose they might make an exception for Milla, if she is willing.

Here is an account of a visit to the Greggs factory with Sir Michael, who in the past had been guilty of force-feeding visitors with the stuff. He is adamant that he will not take the shops upmarket. So it looks as if he has no intention of regenerating London Road.

The world divides into those who adore jaffa cakes and those who cannot abide them.

I should have thought Greggs a place to sell them but I believe it does not.

Perhaps even the dynamic Sir Michael Darrington has not been able to broker a good enough deal with the manufacturers.

In view of the amount of publicity this thread has given Greggs (7100 odd views) - (someone must have been inspired to try the pasties surely?) - perhaps Greggs may like to sponser the next forum get-together?

I have been contemplating the offer until September with Seabrook crisps. Collect eight strips from some of these packets - not on all of them - and you can get a tea mug which holds a pint of it. Plus £4.49. It is a limited edition, whatever that means.

Anyway, it occurred to me that it would cost quite a bit to fill it up with Greggs 75p tea.

Greggs tea costs more than petrol!

Any self-respecting shiek in Saudi Arabia should tear himself away from his harem, adjust his dress, straighten his headgear and get on the telephone to Sir Michael Darrington and negotiate a way of muscling in on the racket.

£4.49 plus 8 crisp packets seems an awful lot to pay for what is probably a bog-standard tea mug; unless Seabrooks feel that, in the long terms, their limited edition mugs may become a collectors item?

Pint-sized tea mugs are not easy to find.

True, the Seabrook one is not very subtle.

Of course, it is possible to pour a second half-pint mug but that does not seem the same.
