Once again amongst the jokes and banter - this topic highlights a critical topical issue. The price of agricultural products and therefore food items (and that includes milk) are going up.
Was the move from 70p to 75p ahead of its time ? |

No because Forfars charge a Pound for Tea, for example. |

| But the tea is cheaper - 60p - in Truffles! And in Wethersppon's you get a biscuit and a chance to sit down rather than face the worst that London Road, Brighton can throw at you. |

Yet again LTNS states that Tetley is the best Indian tea without giving any description of makes makes it the best. And what about those who prefer the fuller brew of an African tea? Why isn't the Greggs, London Road, Brighton catering for this taste? LTNS is taking a blinkered view of the matter in his asserion that anything Greggs does is wonderful. He should venture into Truffles. |

Tetleys unique blend has 3 main components
• Assam from India for body and strength • African for the distinctive taste and red colour • Ceylon for a smooth refreshing finish
FACT!!
But PG Tips is still the best tea

One of the Best Tea's is Kenyan.
Tetley Tea is a Good Quality for that bargain price - it is good news for all in London Road , Brighton.
PG Tips is also good, of course.

Under what space/time continuum does Greggs operate?
On its tills there goes across the LCD the phrase "got to get to Greggs".
But, at that point, the customers have got to Greggs.
The display should be amended forthwith to read: "got to get out of Greggs". |

You may read it as that but, in FACT, they are displaying subliminal meesages such as "Great Value Tea" and "Go On Buy a Pastie as Well". |

Yes, and LTNS was one of those caught by the occasional subliminal message: "do everything in your power to promote Greggs and we will give you a jam donut".

The subliminal message plot has backfired on Greggs because they got lumbered with LTNS and his methods of promoting the firm have turned it into a national laughing-stock - and in Wales as well, and there are strong comments made about it in Scotland now.
Cheeseparing (so to speak) Greggs did not look ahead and work out a way of deacivating such unsatisfactory agents as LTNS. |

Here is an account of a cook who was in effect booted out by a privatised school kitchen and palmed off with the prospect of an interview at... Greggs. She won at the Tribunal and saw off the kitchen firm's appeal.

Newcomers might like to know that long time no see started this Topic a few months ago, when it was titled 70p tea; then he was obliged to revise it to 75p and now, in a short time, it has leapt to 80p.
It is a grim look-out for the London Road, Brighton. |

So much for Greggs economy of scale... Greggs charges more than a genuine, local firm Truffles, which also offers good bread.
Well done, Truffles. Close the door quick if you see LTNS coming you way. He will be spying for the opposition. |

| If Greggs were to go fully along this Jamiacan route that might find them selling substances which would have Sir Michael Darrington stripped of his knighthood (and beaten with a tuna baguette for good measure). |
