Oh dearie me ... is this a sign of LTNS' shifting of allegiance from Greggs to Aldi? Should we be looking forward to the title of this thread being changed once again (maybe "Aldi the regenerative giant of London Road" - teabags only £0.95 for 60)

But we were being led to understand that everything in the London Road depended upon Greggs' 70p tea (as was). Now it seems that the mantle is being handed to Aldi... Is there anywhere to buy goalposts in the London Road or have they been moved?

I seem to remember at one stage someone proclaiming quite vociferously that buying computers from Aldi was a mugs game. But maybe that is only when it comes to the Portslade branch ... Maybe the London Road branch will be different?

If you can buy 60 tea-bags for 99p, surely thbis shows how overpriced Greggs' tea is?

So how do you figure buying 60 teabags the equivalent of bulk buying?

I say demolish London Road from Prestom Park to the Pavillion.
The build a huge covered area akin to the Eden Project and have a huge indoor exotic park.
Catering by Greggs.

Huge one-way system in via Lewes Road/Ditchling Road out via Dyke Road.

All shops to Western Road or a new Out of town Mall on the A23 near the derelict Pycoombe Garages.

This could be HUGE!

Greggs on Western Road was deserted this morning, and the staff were looking out enviously at the big queue building up for the re-opening of Primark opposite.

Pasty money must now be going on hats and knickers created, with a few stitches here and there, in the Far East.

What chance that Greggs will have to resort to outsourcing its products and bring them here in freezer containers?

No pronouncement yet from LTNS on the Value and Quality offered by the Primark opposite Greggs. Perhaps he is still sampling the woolly hats.

How can he be so prejudiced against Western Road when it contains a Greggs? If Greggs is meant to be working a miracle on the London Road, why isn't the one on Western Road touted as doing likewise? After all, it sells the same stuff.

Double standards, it looks like to me.

This article shows howq wrong LTNS is to deride people as snobs for preferring good bread.

Good bread is now leading the field.

Greggs is being short-sighted.

Truffles is "Bang On". FACT

But in this London Road thread LTNS attacked Western Road as being all boarded up and a dismal failure compared with London Road.

But that is illogical as Western Road contains a Greggs.

What does the London Road Greggs have that the Western Road one apparently does not?

Thi is a simple logical point but LTNS has clouded it with a screen of pasty breath .

We can only hope for his sake that when LTNS has run in that new woolly hat his brain will have warmed up, but whether that will be sufficient to counter the effect of all those Greggs products is open to debate.
