A Yum Yum is a twist of dough, the same recipe used for donuts, and while still warm coated in a variety of flavoured sauces. Most common in the UK being lemon or toffee.

| It looks as if the American military have averted the danger of the fuel-laden spacecraft landng on Greggs in the London Road, Brighton, but there is still the possibility of fatal fragments among the pasties. |

Here is news that Greggs ran into a mysterious "taste" problem with its donuts in Birmingham last week. Why are there no more details about this, esepcially as nobody had complained? Presumably somebody did take a bite into one donut otherwise the firm would not have known that there was a problem. Presumably Greggs has somebody in Birmingham whose calling in life it is to sample the donuts each day.
If there are more donut problems, it does not bode well for the regeneration of the London Road, Brighton.

If Greggs is meant to be regenerating London Road, Brighton, why is it one of the few stores which pulls down Toxteth-style metal shutters at night?
Forfars nearby does not feel a need to do so, and Greggs can hardly say that its pasties are so superior as to need protecting overnight, for that would suggest that they are not freshly baked but have been hanging about since the previous day.

The CEO of Greggs was on the Radio 4 Money Programme he is aware of food prices going up but he is also aware Greggs offers great value.
He can see some other firms folding due to their massive debts pulling them down.
Meanwhile Greggs is expanding.

Greggs has reported a £49 million profit but that is by putting up its prices. |

Every Food Store or take away is putting prices up that is the World Markets.
Of course Greggs keeps the best value unlike Dusty FoFars.

In the Roundhill area of Brighton is the most unfortunately named Mayo Road.
Tainted by association with Greggs, this will have an effect upon property prices and the residents will be petitioning the council to have it changed. |
