That`s a lovely set of pictures Nightbird, but - either that`s a very small cat, or it`s a very large mouse. Actually, it looks more like a young rat to me. We`ve had many pet rodents over the years, and I reckon that`s a pet rat. Wonderful pets, very intelligent and sociable. Ours had no fear for our cats, indeed, our famous Alice the Rat used to sneak up and nip our Ozzie-puss on her back paws, and the cat always retreated. We also had a mouse called Flimsy that was quite friendly with elderly Terrier Cloggie - that dog would pounce and kill any small rodent outside, but he knew that family pets were `out of bounds` for hunting. He did `search & find` a certain Houdini hamster several times, and bring the little escapee to us in his mouth - unharmed, fur hardly wet! |
