Dana is calling for Ireland to pull out of the competition, citing the turkey as an insult to all the poor singers and musicians who work desperately hard to get on the thing for their big break.
I know the turkey will get 12 points from the British voters, but which other nations do people think will share the humour in this? Lithuana, probably (once they've given their obligatory 12 & 10 points to Estonia and Latvia) - they are pretty wacky there. Not Germany, of course. Maybe Finland? |

So we came last. And Russia came first. So that can can only mean Johnny Foreigner has cheated us good honest British yet again.
There was a good observation on Radio 5 Live this morning - something like "Russia put up an established top-drawer performer, and we put up a binman."
I've never like Wogan's attitude in his presentations of Eurovision over the years. Not just his dismissive attitude towards the voting patterns, which I agree is present to some extent, but towards non-British performers - there always seems to be a slightly sneering or patronising attitude.

I say we should abandon Wogan and bring in a Serb or a Hungarian in his place who would do a better job of presenting. |
