Sitting here in Arabia under the a/c, outside a mild spring-time 30°C, while on my computer screen headlines blare of a "giant storm battering the coast of the the UK" and was wondering how dear old Sussex was getting along. I have seen waves reach onto the main coast road in Hove, smashing up the beach huts and spreading pebbles all over the lawns, and I have driven along to Newhaven while spray completely drenches the car in the low 'dips' in the cliff, but that was all many, many years ago. So, how are things today?

It certainly isn't as bad as it was in 1987 ... not down here in Brighton anyway. Just came back from Newhaven and though the winds are strong(ish) the car was quite steady on the road (A259) though a couple of high sided vehicles did seem to have a bit of a struggle keeping to a lane.

The car was well weighed down though |

Pretty lively in Lewes, the cats are all staying indoors.
I have been out and met a lorry on the wrong side of the road at Selmeston. Kingston appears to be blocked off.
Happy meandering.

Horsham had wind, rain, sun, thunder, lighting and hail at various times today. I think you call that changeable?

My daughter said that she encountered pretty large hailstones in Newhaven today.

All building up nicely underground should Karis be so rash as to dig a big hole on the seafront in Hove.
