(OK mr French has some ignorant drivers as well but most are decent hard working men and women) FACT

Fares are going up to pay for the rise in fuel costs, not like the fare rise late last year to cover pay rise and increase in fuel. The drivers never got their pay rise.
RF also stated that the strike would be "futile" and he has plans to ensure that a 'normal service' is running. Where is he going to get 300 drivers to cover the strike action to keep a 'normal service' running.
If he is so confident, why did he produce new offer moments before the talk on the web and radio interview?

a final offer was rejected by drivers.

The latest 'final' offer was actually withdrawn by the MD's so doesnt really count.
his fuel price is about 60ppl, oh and dont forget the pay rise the directors gave themselves in 2006/2007 and the returned profit to go ahead.. http://www.go-ahead.com/content/doc/cms/Annual%20Report%202007.pdf page 6 rev 42.7million etc

This is just a joke. Can only be down to poor maintenance or poorly trained drivers.

The Unite union have suspended their plans for strike action which may have affected bus services on Monday 16 June and services will now run normally.
