Here is something you are not likely to find in Greggs on the London Road, Brighton, but you never know, standards might improve if enough customers go in and ask ... perhaps regular LTNS could pioneer something?

It was announced last week that Sir Michael Darrington is stepping dwn as full-time chief at Greggs.
This will give him the opportunity to enjoy the finer things in life. |

I shouldn't be surprised if he already fortifies himself with some of that £50 coffee.
If LTNS ever got hold of some, he'd soon write half the internet. |

There is now a Newcastle version of Monopoly, described here complete with much local lingo. The winner is given a Greggs pasty ready-mounted for the wall (there is a picture of the great honour, which looks uncooked to me).

| Perhaps it was getting used to the Y*** tea that has made LTNS enthuse over the Greggs brew. |

Yes ... well ... since there are so few of them and they all tend to be arranged in much of a similar order ... I do not doubt that. |

Maybe LTNS found his Californian experience so traumatising that it has negatively affected his whole perception of the whole country - all 300,000,000 Americans commonly dismissed by LT as 'dumb'.
What was it? Did someone make you take part in a group hug? Were you forced to 'share your feelings'? After 4 years living there, I know some aspects of southern Californian life can be quite hard to deal with if you are an emotionally repressed Englishman of a certain age, but if there is one thing the Americans do well it is make great cocktails, which can go a long way to make up for the fizzy-water beer and general weirdness.
And you can buy Tetleys teabags in many shops Especially in Santa Monica

| I doubt whether any American would believe that the innards of a Greggs pasty had ever seen life as part of a sturdy beast on a Texan plain. |

LTNS will be sending off for the Noah's Ark and figurines.
This tea is a blend from several countries. At first glance it looks as if grown in America.
Perhaps a quality tea could be grown in Sussex, if not the London Road, Brighton? |
