Worst ever coffee. Hah!

LTNS has tastebuds destroyed by too much 83p tea with real milk.

If Starbucks had the worst ever coffee then why are they so successful?

You don't get that big and popular by selling bad coffee.

FACT

And at Starbucks you can choose what kind of real milk you want - full cream, semi-skimmed or skimmed - Does Greggs do that with their tea?

Simple is believing that they can be that successful by selling bad coffee. Simple is as simple does, is what LTNS's mamma always used to say.

Not wanted by you.

Personally, I am really looking forward to my first Starbucks there if I get back to the UK this summer. As it will be near the English Bookshop (a MUST for all EFL teachers) I am looking forward to taking my purchases and then reading up on the latest in linguistics whilst sitting in a comfy armchair sipping on a venti Iced Latte with an extra shot. Yummy!

Grumps and luddites should give Starbucks a try. For quality coffee and a huge choice of beverages and food.

Not wanted by you and a few other grumps who hang out on Facebook.

Wanted by me and I'm sure by others in the area. You cannot tell me the whole of central east Brighton is against this Starbucks. That would be a FACT too far.

By the way, Mrs BiH just sent me this story. The Headline is quite a surprise: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/7390109.stm

So how are you coping?

Hah! LTNS has to go back to an old argument from Pel.

We have a Starbucks in my smallish Arabian town, and I am very fond of it.

I will also be fond of the one they are so thoughtfully putting on St James' St.

Seems like the pubs are all closing down with EvilTescoAsda cheap beer and EvilNewLabour smoking ban, so why not replace them with a nice coffee shop that sells quality coffee.

On that note, I must away home. Perhaps I'll stop off for a REALLY GOOD CUP OF COFFEE FROM STARBUCKS on my way. That would be tasty.

Have I missed something? What has this bird got to do with coffee, Starbucks or otherwise? I have not seen any caged birds through the window of a Starbucks.

The Observer's theatre reviewer says thsi today:

"The other big Brightonian show, Happy Together - a raunchy-sounding ramble through the streets based on hen and stag parties, designed to be the perfect counterpoint to An Infinite Line - was cancelled a couple of weeks ago: it needed a lot of volunteer singers and it turned out that not enough volunteered. It's extraordinary - and expensively inept - that this wasn't discovered till pretty much the last minute, and it leaves the festival looking exposed. There's simply not enough going on. Fringe Street - the South Coast equivalent of the Royal Mile - is apparently buzzing at weekends, but on a weekday, it's just flapping banners, shoppers on wooden benches and empty Starbucks cups. You'd actually be pleased to run into a living statue. This is more interval than festival. Brighton needs to get more full-on, gorgeous as it is."

So Brighton is notorious for Starbucks.

I feel my point is still valid.
Starbucks are nazi's.
They wrap people up in a mentality
that if it says fair trade
or environment-friendly,
then they're guilt-free
in supporting a money-grubbing corporation.

A very Common view on Evil AmericanStarbucks.

MASSIVE HYPOCRITE ALERT

LTNS whines and moans when I post the Vietnamese "Make a new friend at Starbucks" picture
(which I then delete to assuge his tender sensibilities) then HE posts a video that starts
with EXACTLY THE SAME PHOTO.

But I guess because his video involves a pretentious twunt (note the "I am so ironically cool"
guitar in the background) droning on about how much he hates Starbucks then it is OK to show
this photo.

"I can't really sit down in a Starbucks without feeling uneasy ... it's a really evil
f***ing place ... why do people drink coffee from a big corporation?"

It's quite easy. If you don't like the place, don't go in there. Or would that be too difficult?

It's 'evil' and comes from 'a big corporation'? Fine. Set up your own coffee shop and compete.
Just don't try and stop those who might actually LIKE Starbucks (or McDonalds or Pizza Hut) from
going there. That is facism.
