The rank odour of self-righteous sanctimony tinged with a heavy whiff of patronising know-it-all-ism underlain by the terminal fugg of vegan-diet-induced botty burps that the 'eco-elite' emit is enough to repel most normal folks.

Yep the term eco-elite is laced. However with age most eco-activist lose their sanctominy and gain a dark depressing cycnism. Even Moon found himself chuckling as some eco people he knows turned down his offer to go for a drink, moon being promptly informed that they didn't want to pollute their body and were instead going off to rummage in bins for food.

It's enougth to make me want to get a car.

Get a 4X4. I've been driving one for the last 8 years and they're great! Think of all the morris equipment you could fit in the back!

Mind you, at least here I do have to use the four-wheel drive on occassion.

I want a green Landrover Defender, running on a bio diseasl mix or I could have an LDV van to camp at folk festivals in.

Although I will probably just get a small little car.

Oh Moon ... just felt obliged to point out that it isn't consuming any resources hence the 'starving'!

A starving child would not burn the wood, that would be the parents/carers who may be starving as well but not necessarily so.

Stabucks? That's what the New Zealanders call it. Yiissss, they do! FECT!

Meanwhile, across the Irish sea the march of corporate coffee continues:

Starbucks looks to expand presence in Irish market

COFFEE giant Starbucks ... thinks Dublin can ultimately have a Starbucks' penetration like London, where people are never more than 10 minutes away from the nearest outlet.
Never more than 10 minutes away. Sounds marvellous. I've always loved Dublin, and now there'll be fine coffee in the morning to help with the hangover from the craic the night before, to be sure.

Their green colour scheme will fit in, but people will want to drink Guiness not american coffee.

Guiness is foul. Smythwicks is the brew you should be drinking in Ireland. That black yucky stuff is just for the tourists. Starbucks is for the morning. Guiness and breakfast is only for English on stag weekends.
