My darling daughter - after a couple of weeks` trials and tribulations - gave birth exactly one week ago. The run-up was gruelling, hence my absence from the forum, but the actual birth was quick and simple, after all the fuss with the little lady weighing in at 8lb 14 oz, and 54 cm long. Sienna is a delightful baby, contentedly sleeps between feeds and rarely cries. Elder siblings Harry (6) and Adele (4)are chuffed to bits with her. I took them all shopping in Asda the other day, her first outing...Adele swaggered along beside the trolley `posing` and beaming at anyone who paid the slightest attention to her new sister, and reciting her name with pride to anyone we knew and stopped to talk to...then suddenly we noticed Adele had gone missing. No worries, we knew where to look first, and sure enough we found her - by the ladies shoes, trying on glittery flip-flops. Harry, like a little old man, said `it`s OK, Deli, cos I stayed with Sienna`. Harry is also self-appointed supervisor of ANYONE who visits and might want to hold the baby. He selects a clear seat and makes them sit down first in case they drop her. It always used to be my son`s daughter, My Little Treasure (nearly 9 years old now) telling little cousin Harry what to do (usually quite assertive with her younger cousins...)but she meekly did as she was told this time, Harry knew his stuff and it showed. (Deli merely goggled at Little Treasure`s shoes - glittery Bratz wheelies- and asked if she could try them on....) I`m just delighted with my newest grandchild, but I`m ever more delighted with the other three as well!
