I cannot get through to Southern Water their telephone lines are constantly engaged. Is anyone else having this problem?

I just want them to send me a bill as they haven’t read my meter now since May 2006.

I’ve sent them an email but I doubt they’ll respond to that.

My daughter has had the same problem .... she's just moved into a new flat and has spent three weeks trying to get hold of them.

Isn't it annoying the music on the phone when you are waiting?

I had to phone the Greek Embassy once, ages ago - they played `Greensleeves` at me while I was kept waiting!

Sheesh, couldn't they at least have made it Zorba the Greek?

Not really. All I get is the engaged tone.

I've even had the line checked but apparently there is nothing wrong with it. I have a theory that they have taken the phone off the hook and forgotten to replace it.

I found this other number off this website not the correct one. You go through to technical enquires but if you ask they will put you through to customer services.

I asked why their phones were engaged…’a very busy time of year’ was the answer.

Just heard from a friend of mine. She's been trying to ring them all morning with about as much success as the posters on this thread.

My daughter started experiencing problems with reaching them as early as last month. And if it is a busy time of year, then a well run office will plan ahead for those times.
