The Sign is up
and I believe they will sell hot food as well.
Taj have a vast range of food well beyond any standard supermarket
it will do very well on that street.
And making use of that big job centre building
gives them a great prime position.
You could buy Fresh fruit & worldwide foods from Taj
and other normal foods from Somerfield
they can both be used in one trip.
And if you shop in both stores
the Somerfield car park will do fine.

I liked the old one down the side street from Western Road. The Western road site is a bit too glossy for my taste and big.
Jimmy Street is close enough to John Street to be really useful to me.

| I liked the one in Bedford Place too. It was like walking into a middle eastern souk. I love the fact that in the Western Road branch you can sample the olives before buying, Some of them are incredilby good. |

I hear that a Taj is opening in the two shops next to Otello's restaurant - the old, or not-so-old, post office - in Church Road in Hove.
At this rate there might be one in Portslade by the end of the century. |

| Yes -- the careful (money-wise!) shopper will use bedford place as first preference -- the same Taj, of course -- we use it a lot (literally 30 minutes ago!). |

They pile up stuff to draw people in, but these have shot up in price. |

I think that it can be cheaper to look around for better tyre prices, same goes for exhausts. Kwik Fit aren't always the cheapest, but i've never had any complaints about their workmanship.
could be that there are readers who haven't been fortunate enough to go be able to visit a Taj. |

I'd wager that if you live in Brighton, and have the mental capacity to use a forum, you'll pretty much know what a taj sells. And conversly, you'd also not give a shit about the price of tea in any given establishment.

Yes, small garages in side streets and mews are often much cheaper and better than Kwik Fit and chain garages.
They know about engines and can do what is really needed wheras the chains are just fitters.
Where indeed is the best place for onions? |

I think what this thread is missing is some gratuitous images of Taj.
There is a supermarket called Taj
They sell food.
They sell vegetables. Some of them have funny names like Kohlrabi and BokChoy. They give you gas.
They sell pulses. Beans and lentils are pulses. You have to soak them overnight or they give you gas.
They sell pickles and sauces like KimChi and Harissa. They are very hot. They can make your botty sore.
They sell lots of different kinds of olives. Some people like olives. I think they taste of urine.
The website says their food is suitable for vegetarians, is kosher and is gay-friendly. Vegetarians' houses smell of gas. How can a food be gay-friendly? Does it smile and remember to call?
