It looks as if the Brighton Eye has passed the planning application and it is anticipated that work will start on the i360 sometime in June.

Amazing how quick this council can act when it wants to. This I think will be good for all, so that is how it should be.
All the Albion need to do now is find a way of building a stadium 300ft in the air!

We're all doomed!

I was really impressed with Nobles objection that the eye would "increase competition and cut their profits". They should change the name to igNoble......
wonder how long before there is an ignoble attempt to burn the competition down (again).......

I came into the world with nothing and still have most of it left..

They are greedy Nobles
they want all the Money.
But, infact many that go up that Lift 'i360' (if it works)
will get such a great view of that Mega big Nobles area
they will go down to it after.

It can work for them.
I assume no one will bomb the Foundations of the i360.

I have One issue
it is a paper plan.
Never tested, yet.

I think Bodfish should take the very first ride.

He may well be.
But I am sure many of us want him in the very first ride.

If he does take the first ride can it be arranged to leave him up there even if it does work.

He be a weather vane or something. Trouble is the weather would always be dull!

As Bodfish is one of the "bold and brave" brigade, perhaps his first journey in this thing should be strapped vetically on top of it, rather like those on the wings on bi-planes in the Thirties?

What a fitting symbol this would be for out thrusting and vibrant city!

Come on, Ken! We'll all be there to watch you wave to the multitudes below.

So....how long does this 'pod' take to get to the top?

I am assuming it's not like the giant elastic band/catapult for two entrepreneurs of the skies?

It is a slow Donut type lift
it would not need to go fast.

But - this sytem is not tested
and can never work in bad weather.

Another group without funding yet
want a Hotel on the Sea next to it.

If it works it will be a Worldwide Landmark.

Maybe that is why Second Life are thinking
of having a Euro Office in Brighton.

The London Eye is powered by giant invisible hamsters. Very eco-friendly.
The i360 however will be be powered by excess hot air from BHCC meetings. Thus self sustaining and self satisfying.

We're all doomed!

There turns out to be a hitch while provision is made for the necessary affordable housing at the tope.

A sponsored bungy jump off the top would be a good fund-raiser for the Martletts. I can think of a few councillors and prospective councillors who could raise a fortune.

What an excellent idea, flaming pie.
Can I be in charge of the length of the rope ?

Of course it is LTNS, but that doesn't mean we cannot kill* two birds with one stone.

No it is linked to many company funds
It could make more money than Nobles can.

It will have to have 24/7 Security.
