I see the Labour Party is proposing that 17 year old Emily Benn, grand-daughter of Tony Benn, stand in the next general election in the Shoreham constituency.
No doubt within a few months of being elected she'll be an under-secretary at some ministry making decisions on pensions/war/trade etc.
Let's just hope she's brought her dirty plates down and made her bed first......

Can`t they just give her a job for a few years first - she might be an excellent lass, but a little more life experience would be appropriate. Unless it`s a cheap Labour gimmick to try to rustle up some interest from the younger voters...
Anyway, if she`s that bright why isn`t she still at school? |

Went to see Michael Moore's "Sicko" last night (a fine, but terrifying movie) and old Wedgie had quite a big part in it. It was good to see the old fellow again, talking so reasonably and sensibly.
Good luck to Emily. Will she be running for pathetic (Sorry - went on auto-LTNS-mode by mistake) new Labour?

17 ry old MP
