Spotted today in Southwick, two sets of outdoor Christms dekkies, sanats, reindeers, One on a house, one on a pub. Don't know if they are up early for this year, or the occupier couldn't be arsed to take down last years.

Call me easy to please, but I rather like those illuminated reindeer whose heads move from side to side.

Isn't there a house somewhere that keeps its Christmas decorations up all year? I seem to remember reading about it ... or did I hear it on a news broadcast?

Here is a piece about Brighton outfit which spends all year making Christmas decorations, reindeers galore!

Shouldn't be surprised if LTNS looks cin on the quiet there every month!

It`s the same up here and in many other places - too much, and it goes up too soon. I`d far rather see just Christmas tree lights through a window, and maybe the odd garden tree here and there with lights on. Most of the outside lights etc. that get plastered all over the fronts and roofs of housing estate semi`s just look tasteless and tacky.

Here is the record which scooge time no sea will buy everybody for Christmas and perhaps be many quids in at William Hill so that he can meet all the increased costs at Greggs.

I should have thought that the turkyr farmer need not have gone to that trouble, and got all this bad publicity - he could simply have come to an arrangement for Greggs to use the birds as all the customers, after so eating so many of that baker's products, would be immune to such minor inconveniences as avian flu.

160,000 is an awful lot of turkey.
What did they do with it all? As I understand it (and I may be wrong) this cull is to prevent spread to other poultry, and possibly their handlers. The threat is from live birds, rather than from eating the cooked ones.
So where did they all go after the culling? I wouldn`t be amazed if some was in the human food chain, certainly I`d expect most of it`d find it`s way into petfood...
Does anyone know about this?

We always farmed animals in the open ... this battery farming is a relatively recent thing.

I suspect that the demand for Free Range poultry is causing a bit of over-crowding even `out in the open`...or at least, a higher population density of birds per square kilometer ...especially with the larger concerns.
BUT, what did they do with all those turkeys??

So, in what way is a festival integral to the Christian religion and celebrated for over 1000 years 'a load of old bollocks'?

Please take care to show your working. You have 1 hour to complete the question and may take 1 rest stop to choke on a tramp's snake.

Energy usage? What a quaint turn of phrase ...

Sometimes LTNS the value of something is not in the costs accrued ...
