Sadly no link to this but it is a cracker. It is about time that some light was directed into the dark and hidden aspects of this scheme which makes the Private Eye name of Skidrow-on-Sea most apt. |

| Fron of today's Evening Standard has a big story about a firm which fabricate support for "developments" on behalf of firms. Forges letters in the names of residents. It is on Channel Four's Dispatches tonight. |

The 4billion are actually the expected rise in costs all around associated with the drain on the industry that the building of th Olympic Stadium will represent. Much of it will be due to an increase in wages associated with the anticipated increase in demand LTNS. So though it is linked to the stadium it is only an indirect link in that it is a projected consequence within the industry.
Of course it is an issue that our government should have been aware of when it did the forward planning, but then again our government has never really been all that good at forward planning has it so this should come as no surprise really. |
