Oh, I don't know ... all the other parties have their finances gone into with a fine toothed comb. Why not Nicky Boys'?

Just had another hospital trip with my daughter who is coming up for her due date so missed quite a bit of the programme. What I did catch was very interesting and I shall certainly be reading the transcript once it becomes available.

No, the baby isn't here yet but we are, I hope, heading for the home stretch.

That File on Radio 4
is not much of a case.

Seems like the Electoral Commission
is more of the Problem.

This is Pathetic work by the Bloated BBC.

Actually I think I must disagree with you there. I am listening to the broadcast now. Yes, there is no doubt that the Electoral Commission has some questions that it needs to answer regarding rather lack lustre responses to concerns raised. However there is no doubt that the BNP has played things rather fast and loose. No real answers to very valid concerns and rather a lot of yummy contradictions and back pedalling there to some very interesting questions.

Do the BNP accept money from foreign interest lobbies using anonymous proxies through fake Think Tanks acting as conduits for the funds?

Politicians as a group seem to be dishonest, a fringe party like the BNP has no chance of gaining power and its financial accounting definitely seems no worse and is probably much better than the mainstream parties that have considerable resources and experience.
The main parties have a party apparatus and they actually enact the laws that they break. Labour cabinet ministers forgetting to declare £ 100,000 paid through fake organisations another minister forgot that her mortgage had been paid ! (I wish my mortgage was that insignificant !) Tories obtain funds through obscure trade associations MP's paying ghost staff with our money The Lib Dems had to return donations from a fraudster too did they not.
The BNP will never attain office and can't therefore rob us blind and take money from foreign interest groups.

Time and money would be infinitely better spent rooting out the corrupt elected politicians that have betrayed the trust invested in them by breaking the laws that they themselves enacted, rather than an insignificant pressure group that have never been elected to parliament and have never broken laws that they helped enact.

Those in Parliament have betrayed their electorates, the BNP don't have ant seats at all and there doesn't even seem to be a case against them anyway.

So you feel that the BNP should be immune from public scrutiny.

No of course not. I am sure that they are constantly scrutinized.
I think that the politicians that have already been trusted and voted for should be held to account for the very real damage they are doing to the whole political system, they are in a very real sense making the BNP more acceptable to some of the electorate or at least less unacceptable.

I didn't ask whether they were constantly scrutinised but whether you feel they should not be. I take it from your 'No of course not' that you agree they should be scrutinised. So what is your problem with the fact that they have been.

Absolutely no problem at all, as long as it doesn't end up with them crowing that they are being victimized by the media and the political elite and ends up with them coming out of the whole affair vindicated as they did after the BBC's attempts resulted in a trial that they won !
