| I am amazed, honestly. Not just that Boris got elected, but that he was ever considered to stand in the first place. I don`t pretend to really understand politics...I now admit I understand even less than I thought I did! |

He never was a serious candidate! he was a joke still is a joke! I have met the guy through my mother(a staunch conservative )he is very friendly but thinks he is a better person than anyone he meets,My Mum thinks he is "Gods"gift I think he is an imbecile(ok a very clever one)he is not someone I would be an aqaintance with (sorry about the spelling) |

That's because you are an anal grammar freak. Written language will always contain spelling mistakes, learn to use your brain and work out what people are saying. If you can't do that and instead get all worked up by spelling then maybe you’re not capable of debate.
Mistakes in spelling are just one way in which language evolves. I don’t think anyone on this boards spelling is so bad that they can’t be understood so get over yourself.

Yes, people deserve who they vote for. Borris is funny, and I think it's funny that British politics is in such a sad state that being funny wins elections.
