| There would be much more room on the roads without buses, build outs and bus lanes. |

You'll find it less confusing when you read the rest of the post LTNS rather then concentrating on a partial quote you can then twist to suit your own perverted view. |

About the only thing you've said that I can agree with 100%. Your view is indeed simple. |

Folk is a mass noun and therefore does not take the plural 's'.
As an aside, this may well explain LTNS' barely surpressed anger regarding teachers - as evidenced on another thread (here) |

Bus drivers in Brighton and Hove have voted to go on strike within the next two weeks over pay. Members of the Transport and (T&G) and company bosses are at loggerheads over a pay offer.
Sack them all and employ new Non Union Polish workers.

LTNS's idea of employing Poles to drive the buses is contradicted by the fact that the Poles are now leaving Sussex, the Argus reports. They can earn more back home, what with the euro.
So LTNS is as far behind the times as Roger French's buses. |

Without all the buses holding up the traffic at buildout bus stops and if cars can utilise bus lanes the traffic flow may improve! |

I have been using the word `folks` (with an `s` on the end!) for a long time before I`d ever heard of the present retard in the White House. I`ve used the word to address groups of secondary school pupils, back in my teaching days, and I often use it to address a group of patients (6 at a time, in a hospital ward bay - eg. `good morning, folks!` Though I often say `Chaps` instead of `Folks`, even in a female ward.) I`ve NEVER had anyone take exception to this. I have addressed folks (see?)on this forum, and on the old Argus one before this - and never once, not even with some of the pedants on the old Argus forum, has anyone felt moved to nitpick about it! NOW, for some reason, LT uses it and gets PASTED! This seems hardly fair, folks.... |

| Look, I DO care. It`s a perfectly good and useful way to address a group of folks.... I do actually quite resent it being attached in anyones` mind to the retard at the White House. |
