Well here's your chance. Write Tony's epitaph!

A more conniving, disreputable, dishonest and untrustworthy PM would be extremely difficult to come by.

Okay, I know it isn't the best but with only 15 words ... what's a girl to do

I'm no good at writing epitaphs, (or anything else for that matter) but in London last week and with an hour to spare in the Trafalgar Square locality, I popped into the National Portrait gallery and discovered (to my surprise!) there is a small room dedicated entirely to the topic "Blair at War". The exhibition consists of about thirty(?) enlarged photographs of Blair, Campbell and the other war criminals, in various poses and combinations and discussions at various times ... all selected to show the "war leader" in dynamic action. All that was missing, to make the display acceptable, was a final snapshot --- of Blair hanging from a scaffold.

I'm glad he's gone but Thatcher was much worse, never forget that.

True, but then I did say extremely difficult and not impossible. Just our luck we had to live through two of 'em

Tony who?

At least with Maggie Thatcher you got what it said on the tin without the spin,

Every govenment 'spins' - they always have done. I dislike Blair but I won't blame him for doing things that every other politician does.

Actually when you think of it Maggie spun the greatest load of cods ever ... Do not tell me that the woman did not realise that instituting the right to buy was in effect the death knell for local authority housing rather then the hand up the property ladder for those who aren't blessed with resources she made it out to be.

TB & Co have taken spin to a new level.
The inherited a good econmic situation from the Tories and in many cases have changed nothing.

You would expect putting everything into the private sector from the Tories.

Tony Blair was only Maggie in Drag.

I agree with Tombstone here. The level of Spin would have evolved to this, and probably will continue, whoever is PM, and whichever party they lead. It`s part of the time we`re in.
Nobody could be worse than Thatcher. I agree with that too - I remember the sense of despair when she got re-elected, and the sense of hope when Blair got in. (Major`s bit I recall as a grey period)
But...
Blair really blew it for me with Iraq. That he failed to take the views of his own countrymen into account, that he failed to hold on and get the UN involved, that he lost all integrity by becoming seen to be a lap-dog with a chimpanzee holding his lead!
One of this household said `Blair tried to do the Atlantic splits, but his legs weren`t long enough...`

Row faster, slaves! Caesar wants to waterski!
